Useful rules and suggestions for admissions, pre-op, and discharges
Dear Patient / Caregiver: Proper preparation ensures a smooth surgical journey and comfortable recovery. Please read through these guidelines before arriving for admission at Janahit Hospital.
Pre-Operative Preparation
- Maintain absolute fasting (no water, tea, or food) for 6–8 hours prior to the scheduled surgery time.
- Please complete all recommended pre-surgical diagnostic tests (CBC, ECG, etc.) and bring the reports.
- Inform the surgeon regarding any regular blood thinners, blood pressure medications, or diabetic treatments.
- Bathe using antiseptic soap on the morning of admission.
Admission Checklist & Packing
- Carry your health insurance card and corporate TPA identity papers.
- Bring official government photo IDs (Aadhar Card, PAN Card, or Driving License).
- Pack loose, comfortable cotton clothing (button-down shirts are preferred).
- Carry all records of past clinical consultations and diagnostic scans.
Discharge Guidelines
- Discharge clearances are usually processed between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
- A comprehensive discharge summary detailing medication and surgical details is provided.
- Please collect all original home-care medication prescriptions and review instructions.
- Plan a follow-up OPD visit (usually 5–7 days post-discharge) for dressing review or suture check.
